Job summary

A major logistics company in Winston-Salem is seeking a Driver to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. The candidate must have a high school diploma/GED, a valid driver’s license for the assigned vehicle, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities include checking shipments and providing customer service. The position requires compliance with safety regulations and the ability to work in a safe manner. This role is essential for maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed for the type of vehicle assigned.
• Must meet qualifications outlined in Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations.
• Medical exam required according to FMCSA or FAA regulations.

Job description

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
