Job summary

FedEx Group is looking for a Driver to provide efficient delivery and pick-up of packages in Honolulu, Hawaii. Responsibilities include checking shipments for service conformance and delivering top-notch customer service.

The ideal candidate must hold a high school diploma, possess a clean driving history, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. The position is part-time with work hours from 0930 to 1630, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed for the type of vehicle assigned.
• Must meet qualifications outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs.

Minimum Education

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Neat appearance since customer contact is required.
• Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations.
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position.
• Medical exam required.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Must be 21 years old and have a clean driving history.

Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors. Permitted by law.
