Job summary

FedEx Group in Marietta, GA is seeking a Driver / operator of company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages with courtesy and efficiency. You will check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards and provide related customer service.

Minimum education is a high school diploma or GED; license for vehicle type is required. Must be at least 21, able to lift 50 lbs, and read and speak English to interact with customers and comply with FMCSA regulations. Mon-Fri 2pm-8pm.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and handle packages of any weight with assistance if needed.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Must meet FMCSA safety regulations and have a valid license for the vehicle type.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
