Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking a driver/operator for company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages with courtesy and efficiency. You will check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards and provide related customer service tasks. Part-time role with weekend Saturday and Sunday shifts.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, a valid license for the vehicle type, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Medical/exam requirements and FMCSA/FMCSA-related conditions apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; a valid vehicle-type license is required.
• Must be at least 21 years old and able to pass FMCSA regulations.
• Able to read and speak English sufficiently for traffic signs and directions.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages with or without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up packages with courteous service.
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards.
• Perform related customer service tasks as needed.

Job description

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
