Job summary

Federal Express Corporation seeks a delivery driver/operator to efficiently deliver and pick up packages using company vehicles. You will ensure shipments meet FedEx service standards and assist customers as needed. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid license for the assigned vehicle.

You must be able to lift 50 lbs and comply with FMCSA safety regulations. Strong verbal communication and neat appearance are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages above 50 lbs with equipment or assistance.
• Good verbal communication and neat appearance for customer contact.
• Must meet FMCSA safety regulations and pass medical exam as required.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate company vehicles for delivery and pick-up of packages.
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards and provide customer service as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
