Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a Driver / operator of company vehicles in Decatur, GA. You will deliver and pick up packages, check shipments for FedEx service requirements, and provide courteous customer service.

This is a part-time position with opportunities to learn and grow within the network. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, valid license for the vehicle type, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, good communication, neat appearance, and compliance with FMCSA and FAA

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED is required.
• Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maneuver heavier packages with equipment.
• Must meet FMCSA qualifications and pass medical exam.
• English language proficiency required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position.
• Customer-facing role with neat appearance.

Job description

Driver / operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
