Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a full-time driver/operator to deliver and pick up packages in a courteous, efficient manner. You must be licensed for the vehicle type and able to read/speak English for traffic and safety communications.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and the ability to handle larger loads with equipment or assistance. Medical exams are required under FMCSA guidelines, and the position is non-safety sensitive.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with equipment/assistance.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Neat appearance since customer contact is required.
• Must meet FMCSA qualification 391.
• Medical exam required per FMCSA/FAA.
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Able to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and directives.

Driver / operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
