Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a driver/operator to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages. This role checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid license for the vehicle, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. It is a part-time role with a 6am–12pm schedule, offering pay transparency at $21.05 per hour and compliance with FMCSA / FAA

Qualifications

• Requires ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages of any weight with equipment or assistance.
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service abilities.
• High school diploma or GED and valid vehicle license for the assigned vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up packages using company vehicles.
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards.
• Provide related customer service functions as required.

Job description

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
