Job summary

FedEx is seeking a driver/operator in North Charleston, SC to deliver and pick up packages with a focus on courteous customer service and safe operation of company vehicles.

Minimum education includes a high school diploma or GED and a valid vehicle-type license. Eligible candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs and communicate effectively in English, with adherence to FMCSA/FAA guidelines where applicable.

Job description

Driver / operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FHWA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Additional Details

Off Tuesday and Saturday The desired location for this position would be North Charleston, SC. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx location five days a week.
