Job summary

First Legal is seeking a reliable Courier in San Diego to responsibly transport documents, file at courthouses, and support time-sensitive service requests across the county.

You will pick up and deliver items, maintain professional client relationships, and adhere to schedules while keeping safety and accuracy as top priorities. Pay ranges $20-$22 per hour with mileage reimbursement; full-time hours Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Reliable personal vehicle.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Prior courier or professional driving experience.
• 5+ years of general work experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with time management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Adherence to traffic laws and safe driving habits.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver legal documents, mail, packages, and boxes to businesses, residences, and courthouses.
• File documents at County Courthouses and retrieve copies of official records.
• Complete process serving requests as assigned.
• Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients.
• Communicate proactively with your Supervisor regarding issues, delays, or concerns.
• Follow dispatch instructions while prioritizing accuracy and timeliness.
• Represent First Legal professionally at all times while on the road.

Salary Range: $20.00 To $22.00 Hourly

Position Summary: Are you someone who enjoys being out in the field, staying active, and being a trusted point of contact for clients? First Legal is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Courier to support our San Diego operations. In this role, you'll play a critical part in the legal process-safely and accurately transporting documents, filing at local courthouses, and supporting time-sensitive service requests throughout San Diego County and surrounding areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Pick up and deliver legal documents, mail, packages, and boxes to businesses, residences, and courthouses
• File documents at County Courthouses and retrieve copies of official records
• Complete process serving requests as assigned
• Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients
• Communicate proactively with your Supervisor regarding issues, delays, or concerns
• Follow dispatch instructions while prioritizing accuracy and timeliness
• Represent First Legal professionally at all times while on the road

Job Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (2 points or fewer)
• Reliable personal vehicle (truck, van, or large SUV a plus)
• Ability to pass a background check
• Prior courier or professional driving experience
• 5+ years of general work experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated with excellent time management and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Courteous driving habits and strict adherence to traffic laws
• High school diploma or GED

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 lbs
• Use of a dolly for larger deliveries as needed
• Willingness to work occasional overtime

Schedule/Location:

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:30 PM
• Pay: $20-$22 per hour, plus mileage reimbursement
