Job summary

Sonic Healthcare USA is seeking a part-time courier in Memphis, TN, responsible for transporting reports, records, supplies, and medical specimens between laboratories and healthcare providers. The role requires safe vehicle operation in all weather, strong customer service, and adherence to safety and privacy standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma, a valid drivers license with a clean 3-year driving record, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• A valid drivers license and an excellent driving record for the past three years.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under time constraints, without close supervision.
• Physical capability of light to medium lifting (up to 50lbs).
• 2+ years of driving experience for business purposes.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

• Perform a vital part of the patient care process by making sure that reports, records, supplies, and medical specimens are transported between the laboratory and healthcare provider locations.
• Ensure proper specimen handling, transport, and safe operation of a motor vehicle – rain or shine!
• Interact with a variety of clients and commit to customer-focused service.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.

This Opportunity Is

Location: Memphis, TN 38134

Days: Saturday, Sunday and Monday

Hours: 2:00 pm- 10:30 pm

Part-time: Partial Benefit Eligible

In This Role, You Will

• Perform a vital part of the patient care process by making sure that reports, records, supplies, and medical specimens are successfully transported between the laboratory and healthcare provider locations.
• Ensure proper specimen handling, transport, and safe operation of a motor vehicle – rain or shine!
• Interact with a variety of clients and commit to customer-focused service.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.

All You Need Is

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record for the past three years.
• Confidence operating a vehicle in all weather and traffic conditions and navigating routine hazards of the road.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under time constraints, without close supervision.
• Physical capability of light to medium lifting (up to 50lbs).

Bonus Points If You’ve Got

• 2+ years of experience operating conventional vehicles for business purposes. This includes cars, trucks, and/or vans.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
