Job summary

Labcorp is hiring a Courier in Bakersfield, CA to pick up, transport, and deliver medical specimens and lab supplies. You will use a company vehicle and a handheld device to manage routes, ensuring timely service to our clients and patients.

The role requires a reliable driver with a valid license, strong time management, and a focus on accuracy. Work hours are Monday through Friday, with potential overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• No experience or education required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6+ months experience as driver or medical courier.
• 6+ months experience in customer service.

Responsibilities

• Cover routes within Kern County and Bakersfield area.
• Load necessary supplies for daily pickups.
• Complete daily pickup schedule on time.
• Deliver daily pickups to branch at end of shift.
• Handle specimens and lab samples safely.
• Operate company vehicle and follow traffic laws.
• Use handheld device to manage pickups.
• Coordinate with dispatcher for additional pickups as needed.
• Assess traffic, routes and weather conditions.

LabCorp is seeking a Courier to join our team at 820 34th street Bakerfield, CA, 93301

Work Schedule: Monday to Fridays 9:00 am – 5:30 pm, additional hours may be required

Job Responsibilities

• Coverage for various routes within Kern County and Bakerfield area.
• Load all necessary supplies needed for the daily pickups
• Complete daily pick up schedule in a timely manner
• Deliver all daily picks to your branch at the end of your shift
• Handle all specimens and lab samples in safe and efficient manner
• Safely operate company vehicle and obey all traffic laws
• Utilize handheld electronic device to manage daily picks up
• Work directly with dispatcher for additional pick-ups as needed
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes and weather conditions as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• No experience or education required

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 6 months or more experience as driver or medical courier
• 6 months or more experiences Customer service

• Valid Driver's License and good driving record
• Be at least 21 years old
• Punctual with strong time management skills

• Ability to problem solve customer issues
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

LabCorp company is seeking a Courier to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for the pickup, transport, and delivery of medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports, while providing excellent service to our clients.

Included with this position is a company vehicle to use for the route. In addition, for only $125 per month, you will have the option of taking this vehicle home with you and using it for personal use.

Pay Range: $17.75 - $26.12 per hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
