Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking dedicated Flex Houseparents for a two-person, on-campus role. Couples live in student homes, supervise a group of 8–13 students, and provide guidance to support academic, emotional, and social growth.

Responsibilities include daily supervision, scheduling, medication administration, transportation, and engagement in developmental activities with students, along with devotionals and Sunday Chapel participation. A long-term commitment is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth or in youth-facing roles.
• This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and support student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and participate in developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
