Job summary

Milton Hershey School is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents in on-campus student homes. Couples provide care, guidance, supervision and support for a group of 8–13 students, fostering academic, emotional, and social development in a family-like environment.

Initial duties include supervising daily routines, medication administration, and organizing activities; later, couples may transition to a placed home with the same students. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth is required.
• Two-person role for couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
• Initially support various student homes with nine days on, three days off, then transition to a placed home with the same group.
