Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide care, supervision and support for about 8–13 students, fostering a structured family-like environment to promote academic, emotional and social growth.

Responsibilities include supervision, routines, medication administration, transportation, and leading devotions. The role progresses to a placed houseparent with long-term student housing and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and able to become certified to drive student vans.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Chapel services.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and support student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental/recreational events.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
