Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks a full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person couple) to live on campus and provide daily care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of 8–13 students in a home setting.

The role involves nine days on duty followed by three days off, with duties including mentorship, activity planning, and routine management, plus comprehensive benefits and on-site housing.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free campus; no alcohol while on duty.
• Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Staff are role models for students.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
