Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA, seeks Full-time Flex Houseparents: a two-person married couple living on campus to supervise and support a group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, routines, devotions, budgeting, and active engagement in student development.

Couples must be legally married for at least two years, both at least 27, with a high school diploma or GED. Relocation and training provided; employer offers comprehensive benefits and housing.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty.
• Pet restrictions: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and participate in developmental and recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel services.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
• Initially support various student homes with a nine days on / three days off schedule; later transition to a Placed Houseparent role.
