University of Georgia invites applications for the Long County 4-H Agent position within CAES-Southeast District CES. The agent will provide county educational programming and oversee the county 4-H program, working with staff to deliver in-school, afterschool, and district events.

Travel and evening meetings are frequently required. Qualified candidates typically hold a Master’s degree in Agriculture or related field; a Bachelor’s degree may suffice for provisional appointment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Agriculture or related area.
• Bachelor’s degree is acceptable for Public Service Provisional appointment. See Additional Requirements.

Responsabilités

• Develops a plan of work that is equitable in meeting the county’s varied population.
• Provides leadership for Program Assistants, volunteers, and teen leaders in delivering 4-H and Youth programs.
• Collaborates with advisory groups, community leaders, and public officials to analyze data and develop educational programs.
• Delivers 4-H programming in school, afterschool, and at district/state events.
