Amentum is seeking a Counterintelligence Specialist to support the DIA with IC‑coordinated all‑source analysis on foreign intelligence threats to the DoD worldwide from the National Capital Region.

Required: active TS/SCI clearance, 8+ years in CI or all‑source analysis, a related bachelor’s degree, and strong analytic writing and briefing abilities.

Job description

Foreign intelligence entities are working every day to target DoD personnel, technology, supply chains, and operations. Your job is to see them coming. As a Counterintelligence Specialist supporting DIA, you’ll produce IC-coordinated all-source analysis on the capabilities, intentions, willingness, and opportunities of foreign intelligence entities to threaten U.S. Department of Defense equities worldwide and get that analysis into the hands of the officials, collectors, and operators who can act on it. This position is contingent upon award of contract, business needs, security clearance verification, and funding availability.

Location: National Capital Region (NCR)

Work Schedule

(shift hours and days of the week)

0600 and 1800 – 8 hours M-F

Essential Responsibilities

• Produce IC-coordinated all-source analytic products on foreign intelligence entity threats to DoD personnel, resources, activities, and interests worldwide
• Analyze regional and functional CI topics, including foreign intelligence threats to the Defense Critical Infrastructure Program (DCIP), DoD supply chains, and emerging technologies
• Assess threats from foreign intelligence technical equipment to the Department
• Provide analytic support to senior officials, collectors, and operators throughout the DoD, IC, and law enforcement community
• Support DIA’s CI programs, functions, and mission activities with rigorous, tradecraft-compliant analysis

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• 8+ years of relevant counterintelligence or all-source analysis experience, with recent experience within the last 2 years
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Working knowledge of foreign intelligence entity tradecraft and DoD CI missions
• Strong analytic writing and briefing skills

Security Clearance Required

Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance

• Prior DIA or military CI experience

The base salary range for this position is $110k to $140k. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
