Job summary

VT Group (VTG) is seeking a Counterintelligence (CI) Officer to support our Client in the Northern Virginia area. The position requires deep knowledge of offensive and defensive CI concepts and the ability to deliver confident, concise briefings.

Candidates with overseas TDY experience and a high-level US government clearance will be favored. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and 7–12 years of applicable experience for Level 3, increasing with Level 4 and Level 5.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s desirable.
• 7–12 years experience for Level 3, 12–20 for Level 4, 20+ for Level 5.
• Cable writing experience and vulnerability analysis experience.
• Ability to deliver clear, concise briefings with CI expertise.
• Strong knowledge of adversaries’ intelligence capabilities including cyber/technical, IO, and HUMINT.

Overview

Seeking Counterintelligence (CI) Officer to support our Client’s challenging operational requirements at multiple locations in the Washington Metropolitan Area.

What will you do?

VTG is seeking a Counterintelligence (CI) Officer to support our Client in the Northern Virginia area.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and
• 7-12 years of applicable experience (Level 3)
• 12-20 years of applicable experience (Level 4)
• 20+ years of applicable experience (Level 5)
• Cable writing experience
• Experience conducting vulnerability analysis or surveys
• Ability to confidently deliver clear and concise briefings
• Strong knowledge of foreign adversaries’ intelligence capabilities including cyber/technical, information operations, and HUMINT
• Understanding of offensive and defensive counter-intelligence methods
• Familiarity with the concepts involved in CI risk analysis including insider threat detection
• Knowledge of and experience in the fundamentals of intelligence operations to include risk assessment
• For level 5: at least 2 total overseas tours (CONUS or OCONUS) or 4 years worth of TDY experience
• Must possess a high level US Government issued clearance at the time of application

Desired Qualifications

• Candidates with a Master’s degree are highly desirable.
• Experience in Intelligence Operations / Analysis / Support to Field Operations
• Experience identifying targeting leads through the exploitation of all-source databases to craft targeting packages
• Experience using customer databases to monitor field traffic and communicate with field offices
• Formal CI training and/or certifications
• Overseas experience supporting collection operations and information sharing
• Foreign languages skills

Pay Range

VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $140,000 - $195,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
