Job summary

Jgpete is seeking a motivated Parts Counter Salesperson to join our Boise team. You will serve retail customers, mechanics, and outside reps, identifying and selling automotive components with accuracy and courtesy.

You will invoice parts, handle transactions, and support shop efficiency while maintaining product knowledge, operating systems, and safety procedures. A strong work ethic, teamwork, and a focus on customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Prior Parts Counter experience required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• General mechanical aptitude with familiarity of automotive/truck components. High computer proficiency.
• Experience with ADP/CDK Automotive DMS systems is highly preferred.
• Exceptional verbal communication, problem-solving, customer service aptitude, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with prompt, courteous service.

• Directly assist mechanics and outside sales representatives at the counter to ensure shop and field efficiency.
• Answer incoming phone calls, take accurate orders, and make proactive weekly sales and follow-up calls to customers.

• Pull parts orders for customers and safely operate a forklift when required.
• Learn about new products, attend scheduled training classes, and maintain up-to-date product knowledge.
• Perform additional supporting tasks, problem-solving duties, or related assignments as required by management.]
