Job summary

Werner Electric Supply in Wisconsin is seeking a Counter Sales Associate to support walk-in customers and industrial accounts. You will take orders, assist with loading and ensure next-day deliveries when possible, while partnering with the warehouse team to meet customer needs.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with competitive pay of $19–$23 per hour and a $2,000 annual bonus. Comprehensive benefits, vacation, and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Dependable, reliable team player with strong work ethic and attention-to-detail.
• Ability to work 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Monday - Friday).
• Basic computer system knowledge.
• Previous forklift experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sell product to walk in customers.
• Assist customers in loading product into vehicle.
• Sell product for delivery next day if local inventory is not available.
• Build and maintain customer relationships by responding fast, professionally, and with your own personal touch.
• Steadfast focus on growing both sales and margin, while following corporate processes to ensure quality and reduce order entry errors.
• Process customer requests via inbound phone calls, emails, and faxes and convert these requests into bids or orders.
• Make customer deliveries as required.
• Review daily reports to manage Open Orders and Bids in process and expedite as needed.
• Work closely with Warehouse Team to resolve delivery feedback and issues.
• Coordinate with RGA Team to return product and handle warranty/repair/service.
• Other related duties including administrative/office tasks, deliveries, and warehouse pick orders.

Support sales of electrical products and services to construction or industrial customers. Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and executing orders. Also, assisting the warehouse operation in the Wausau branch.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Sell product to walk in customers.
• Assist customers in loading product into vehicle.
• Sell product for delivery next day if local inventory is not available.
• Build and maintain customer relationships by responding fast, professionally, and with your own personal touch.
• Steadfast focus on growing both sales and margin, while at the same time following corporate defined processes and procedures to ensure quality and continual improvement in speed as well as order entry errors.
• Process customer requests via inbound phone calls, emails, and faxes and convert these requests into Bids and/or Orders.
• Will make customer deliveries as required.
• Review daily reports to manage Open Orders and Bids in process. Expedite as required to deliver to customer’s required date.
• Work closely with Warehouse Team to assist in investigating and resolving customer feedback with product deliveries, late deliveries, etc.
• Coordinate with RGA Team to return product from customers and navigate warranty, repair, and service.
• Other related duties as assigned including but not limited to administrative/office duties, deliveries, warehouse pick orders, backup coverage for Counter Sales, and anything else to enhance outstanding customer service.

Warehouse

• Maintain Measures of Success board.
• Assist in loading delivery trucks if applicable.
• Process transfers in inventory into and out of branch.
• Replenish inventory to shelves maintain orderliness and accuracy.
• Process RGA’s.
• Assist with Pick & Pack as needed.
• Maintain safety and quality records: man lift, delivery vehicles, wire cutting, etc.
• Maintain orderliness of Warehouse and submit 5S worksheet monthly.
• Other related duties as required.
