Rexel USA is hiring a Counter Sales Representative to deliver prompt, courteous service and product knowledge to customers at the branch. You will support order processing, stocking, and showroom upkeep while helping grow electrical distribution sales.

Key requirements include 2+ years in customer service or sales in an electrical setting, forklift certification, and the ability to drive if needed. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service, sales, or electrical distribution experience preferred
• Previous branch experience preferred
• Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment preferred
• If required to drive: Must have a valid driver’s license, be at least 21 years old, pass MVR checks, and meet medical certificate requirements

• Stay informed and educated on product knowledge
• Inform manager of any potentially hazardous or elevated safety or customer-satisfaction issues
• Assist with daily restocking, showroom maintenance, and keeping showroom and counter clean and organized
• May perform other branch duties including but not limited to inside sales, preparing/filling orders, and receiving/stocking/shipping materials
• May make deliveries up to 20% of the time
• Perform other duties as assigned

Summary:

The Counter Sales Representative is a resource for immediate service and product knowledge for our customers. Provides excellent customer service by assisting customers promptly and courteously with their purchases and efficient processing of their orders. Works closely with the branch team to assist in receiving, shipping, and stocking.

What You'll Do:

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers promptly and courteously with their purchases and processing of their orders or returns
• Assist in driving electrical distribution sales for our counter business and developing new and existing customer relationships
• Stay informed and educated on product knowledge
• Inform manager of any potentially hazard or elevated situation pertaining to safety or the satisfaction of a customer
• Assist with daily restocking, showroom maintenance, and keeping showroom and counter clean and organized
• May be required to perform other job functions within a branch when required including but not limited to inside sales, preparing and filling orders and/or receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material, and maintaining branch equipment
• May be required to make deliveries up to 20% of the time
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

• 2+ years of customer service, sales, or electrical distribution experience preferred
• Previous branch experience preferred
• Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment preferred
• If required to drive:
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must pass a pre-employment and annual review of the Motor Vehicle Record
• Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 30 days of hire\
• Must not have had a suspended driver's license for a traffic accident/violation within the past 3 years
• Must not have any at fault accidents in the past 3 years
• High School or GED - Required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Electrical product knowledge and experience, including lighting, switchgear, controls, and electrical commodities preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of electrical distribution or other electrical sales environments preferred
• Familiarity with automated order entry systems & PCs running Windows-based software preferred
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate on all levels within internal and external groups
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good team player

• Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines
