Job Title: Counter Sales Associate

Location: Deer Park, TX 77536

Reports to: Branch Manager

Classification: Non‑Exempt

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30AM – 4:30PM (40 hrs/week)

Summary

The Counter Sales Associate position is responsible for handling all sales functions in a professional manner for counter customers by providing prompt and efficient service to achieve maximum sales and customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions

• Sells merchandise to customers over the counter
• Suggests product selections to customers
• Prepares sales invoices and receives customer payment or credit authorization
• Displays new merchandise
• Reviews and maintains inventory levels
• Recommends new stock items
• Maintains security of the cash drawer and all sales and shipping transaction paperwork

Supervisory Responsibilities

The Counter Sales Associate position does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities.

Working Conditions

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands: Regularly required to talk or hear, frequently stand and walk. The role is largely sedentary but may require lifting files, opening filing cabinets, and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm. The employee must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
