Cregger Company in Greensboro, NC is seeking a full-time Plumbing Counter Sales associate to help customers, process orders, and provide accurate product information at the counter.

You will handle warehousing duties, assist with inventory, packing and deliveries, and work with other departments to resolve issues while presenting a neat, professional image. The role requires friendly service, basic product knowledge, and a willingness to learn through product knowledge meetings.

• Service customers at the counter by taking orders and entering them into the system accurately; give priority to regular accounts.
• Use electronic and published catalogs to provide product, pricing and availability information to customers.
• Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, upselling, add-on sales and offering promotional sales items as well as new products.
• Handle customer complaints and returns, while showing a positive attitude.
• Work with other departments to resolve customer service issues in a timely manner.
• Pulling, filling, packing and setting up orders for delivery and pickup.
• Receive shipments, log into inventory, maintain inventory through audits.
• Report any quality or inventory discrepancy issues to the appropriate person.
• Communicate positively with supervisors, sales staff, fellow workers and customers to coordinate deliveries/pick-up.
• Attend product knowledge meetings as required by management.
• Present a neat and professional image.
• Keep merchandising and counter areas clean and attractive.
• Keep counter area inventory stocked; remove or add inventory items to stimulate impulse sales; remove discontinued items from the sales floor.
• Assist in scheduled physical inventory counts.
• Assist in keeping facility secure.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
