Job summary

White Cap Supply Holdings, LLC is hiring immediately for a Counter Sales Associate in Salt Lake City. You will greet walk-in customers, quote prices, and process orders while pulling items as needed.

You will communicate product features, provide technical advice, upsell related products, and support issue resolution. On-site position with full benefits and opportunities to grow within the company.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with sales order systems or ERP platforms (Oracle or similar).
• Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs and upsell or cross-sell opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates exceptional customer service to walk-in, phone, and will call customers.
• Processes orders, quotes prices, enters orders into the system and provides order information; pulls orders as required.
• Communicates product features, benefits, and warranty policy information to customers.
• Demonstrates knowledge of products and applications; provides technical advice and helps resolve problems.
• Upsells by identifying related products and informing customers of promotions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

A Counter Sales Associate at White Cap...

• Demonstrates exceptional customer service to our walk-in, phone, and will call customers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment

• Experience with sales order systems or ERP platforms (Oracle or similar)

• Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs, recommend solutions, and support upselling or cross-selling opportunities

• Working knowledge of construction, industrial, or contractor-focused product lines, or the ability to quickly learn technical product applications

• Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high level of accuracy, including order entry, follow-up, and issue resolution

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and resolve customer concerns effectively

• Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving; bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
