Job summary

White Cap is seeking a Counter Sales Associate to support walk-in, phone, and will-call customers at our local branch. You will process orders, quotes, and enter orders into the system, while keeping our sales flow efficient from inquiry to delivery.

Strong customer service, product knowledge, and upselling skills are essential. Spanish is a plus, and experience with Oracle-based sales software is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success providing excellent customer service.
• Experience with sales order computer software, preferably Oracle.
• Knowledge of construction and industrial products.
• Spanish language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist walk-in customers and answer phone inquiries.
• Process orders, quotes, and enter orders into the system.
• Pull and prepare orders for pickup or delivery.
• Explain product features, benefits, and warranties to customers.
• Provide technical advice and resolve customer issues or questions.

Key Responsibilities

• A Counter Sales Associate at White Cap… Demonstrates exceptional customer service to our walk-in, phone, and will call customers.
• Processes orders, quotes prices, enters orders into the system and provides order information to customers.
• Pulls orders as required.
• Communicates product features, benefits, and warranty policy information to customers.
• Demonstrates knowledge of products and their applications (provides technical advice, troubleshoots, and helps resolve customers’ problems.)
• Upsells by identifying related products, add-on extensions, and informing customers of product promotions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
