Job summary

Finetco, a family-owned construction, design, and supply corporation, seeks a Counter Sales Associate in Coventry, RI. You will greet customers, guide them through the showroom, and demonstrate multiple product lines to help them choose the right materials.

This full-time role requires collaboration with inside/outside sales teams, strong product knowledge, and the ability to prioritize tasks. PTO, health and vision insurance, 401K with company match, and employee discounts are included.

We are currently seeking an experienced Counter Sales Associate to fill a full‑time position.

Responsibilities

• Providing exceptional customer service that includes greeting customers, guiding them through the showroom, and demonstrating multiple product lines.
• Assist with inventory and stock maintenance.
• Serve as the first point of contact for customers, both via telephone and in-person.
• Ensure that both homeowners and contractors obtain the correct materials.

• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of products and services.

Qualifications

• Computer skills are required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and BisTrack is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize.
• Possess both time management and organizational skills.
• Building material sales and customer service experience.
• Desire to continually learn new products and services.
• Be a team player and effectively communicate with management and co-workers.
• Prior industry experience is a plus, but not required.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday 7 AM to 4:30 PM
• Saturday 7 AM to 12 PM
• Paid Time Off (PTO).
