Job summary

Famous Supply seeks a Counter Sales Associate at our Ohio branch. You will assist contractors and walk-in customers with HVAC and plumbing products, recommend solutions, and process orders both in person and by phone.

You’ll stock, pull orders from the warehouse, and keep the counter area organized while delivering friendly, knowledgeable service. Starting wage is $20.00/hour based on experience; branch hours are Mon-Fri 7am-4:30pm with rotating Saturdays 8am-11am.

Qualifications

• HVAC and/or Plumbing knowledge required or preferred.
• Customer service mindset and ability to assist contractor customers.
• Computer use capability and ability to stand for long hours.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and helpful customer service.
• Understand customer needs and provide products/solutions.
• Process and schedule customer orders; manage Open Orders and Bids.
• Pull orders from the warehouse to serve customers; keep counter area clean.

Job description

Counter Sales Associates provide superior service to customers at the Famous Supply branch, in person and via the phone. We specialize in plumbing and HVAC. Knowledge in these fields is preferredto keep our customer serviceefficient. Counter Sales Associates help contractor customers get the materials they need so they can get back to their job.

Branch Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-4:30pm & rotating Saturdays 8am-11am

Starting wage based on experience, $20.00/hour +

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and helpful customer service
• Understand customer needs
• Provide the products and solutions to meet customer needs
• Process and schedule customer orders
• Manage Open Orders and customer Bids
• Pull orders from the warehouse to serve customers
• Keep counter area clean and organized

Required Experience and Skills

• HVAC and/or Plumbing knowledge
• Customer service mindset
• Ability to use computer
• Ability to stand on feet for majority of an 8-hour day
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
