Job summary

Pacific Plumbing Supply in Anchorage, AK is seeking a motivated Counter Sales Associate to join our wholesale team. The role focuses on assisting wholesale customers, processing orders, and maintaining accurate pricing and paperwork.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in counter sales or warehouse roles, knowledge of plumbing products, and solid computer skills. We offer medical, dental, vision, and a robust 401(k) plan, with a drug-free workplace policy in place.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of counter sales and/or warehouse experience in wholesale distribution.
• Prior knowledge of plumbing products & supplies and the local plumbing market preferred.
• Computer skills and ability to use a computer order entry system.
• Excellent communication skills with customers and employees in a friendly, professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional demeanor and provide first-in-class customer service.
• Communicate with wholesale customers by phone and in person to assist orders and purchases.
• Ensure paperwork, coding, costing, pricing and credit procedures are completed accurately.
• Coordinate with branch manager and purchasing on shortages or outages.
• Safely pull orders, load/unload, and stock shelves; assist as needed.
• Assist with general housekeeping to maintain a safe, neat warehouse.
• Collaborate with all departments to meet deadlines.
• Serve as backup driver if qualified and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Details: Job Location: 4010 - Anchorage Branch - Anchorage, AK, Salary Range: $23.00 - $29.00Hourly, We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused Counter Sales Associate to join the Pacific Plumbing Supply team in our Anchorage location!

What you will do:

• Maintain a professional demeanor and epitomize our Core Values of first-in-class customer service.
• Communicate professionally by phone and in person with wholesale customers to assist them with their orders and purchases.
• Ensure all required paperwork is accurately completed; including coding, costing and pricing and that all administrative, accounting and credit related procedures are strictly observed.
• Communicate with branch manager and purchasing regarding any product shortages or outages.
• Safely pull orders, load, unload and check-in delivered product and stock shelves, as needed.
• Help to maintain a safe, neat and clean warehouse by performing general housekeeping duties as required.
• Work with all department staff to ensure all deadlines are met.
• Perform duties of backup driver when necessary (if qualified) and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Who we are looking for:

• 1 to 3 years of experience in counter sales and as a warehouse associate in the wholesale distribution industry. Prior knowledge of plumbing products & supplies and the local plumbing supply market preferred.
• Computer skills and/or knowledge of computer order entry system.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with customers and employees in a friendly and professional manner.
