Job summary

The Big Easy Casino seeks a reliable Cash Handling Associate to manage nightly transfers of money boxes to the money room and coordinate with Security to follow internal controls for cash sweeps. The role requires accurate counting, movement of bankrolls, and maintenance of cash records within a fast-paced casino environment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of cash handling experience, a High School Diploma, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2+ years of cash handling experience.
• Must be able to obtain the appropriate state occupational license.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to lift, bend, push and carry various weights.
• Must be able to work flexible hours to include overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform nightly transfer of money boxes to the money room.
• Work with security to ensure cash sweep procedures are followed as described in internal controls and money room policy.
• Ensure cash storage boxes are transferred accurately to the money room.
• Conduct soft and hard count duties for cash returns.
• Deliver and pick up bankrolls from other employees from various locations within the facility.
• Assist with escort services for other employees within the building.
• Perform and track ATM and kiosk cash fills.
• Maintain bankroll custody and records of cash transactions with cash handling departments.
• Other duties as assigned.

Performs the nightly transfer of all money boxes to the money rooms.Works directly with security department to ensure all money sweep procedures are followed accurately as described in the internal controls and money room policy and procedures.Performs work in a timely manner to ensure the sweep is completed on schedule.Ensures cash storage boxes are transferred in an accurate manner to the money room.Soft and hard count duties for cash returns from operations in accordance with internal controls and department procedures.Deliver and pick up bankrolls from other company employees from various locations within the facility.Assist with escort services for other company employees to and from various locations within the building.Performs and tracks ATM and kiosk cash fills.Maintains bankroll custody and records cash transactions and records of cash transactions with cash handling departments.All other duties assigned.High School Diploma required.Must have at least 2+ years of previous cash handling experience.Must be able to obtain the appropriate state occupational license.Must be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.Must have keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Must have excellent cash handling accuracy and balancing skills.Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.Must be able to lift, bend, push and carry various weights while performing job duties.Must be able to work flexible hours to include overnights, weekends, and holidays.
