Job summary

Rosie’s Gaming Emporium – Vinton is seeking a Count Team Attendant to collect and count cash boxes from the gaming floor and the count room in accordance with Internal Control Policies and state regulations. The role supports accurate reconciliation and secure handling of money and tickets.

The position requires a high school diploma, basic math skills, ability to learn count room software, and obtaining a Virginia Racing Commission License.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must obtain and maintain Virginia Racing Commission License.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Familiarity with Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Collects gaming drop boxes and counts accurately.
• Records counts in the count system and paperwork.
• Maintains count room equipment and performs minor repairs.
• Ensures compliance with internal controls and regulations.
• Notifies supervisor of any malfunctioning equipment.
• Assists in moving and safeguarding the box cart.
• Works long hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintains focus in a fast-paced environment.
• Keeps confidentiality and follows company policies.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Count Room Attendant is responsible for the collection and count of cash boxes from the gaming floor and the cash and ticket count conducted in the count room in accordance with company Internal Control Policies and Procedures as well as state regulations.

Compensation: $16.00

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Collects gaming device drop boxes from HRM machines, kiosks etc. while adhering to company’s Internal Control Policies and Procedures as well as local and state regulations.
• Records accurate count of each box in count system/sheet.
• Prepares and maintains proper paperwork to support and reconcile all money and tickets counted.
• Utilizes count machines in accordance with guidelines.
• Complies with all department and company policies, procedures, internal controls, and government regulations as well as maintains confidentiality where necessary.
• Responsible for minor repairs and maintenance of Count room equipment.
• Maintains general upkeep of Count room.
• Notifies Supervisor of malfunctioning equipment.
• Assists other Team Members in moving and safeguarding the box cart.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills And Abilities

• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Knowledge of the internal controls, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to the Finance department.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications and ability to learn count room computer applications.

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• A combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Must obtain and maintain valid Virginia Racing Commission License.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• The Team Member must be able to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
• While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is frequently required to complete repetitive motions, manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, standing, bending, teamwork, basic math skills, use of a 10-key calculator, and currency counter.
• The Team Member may also be required to lift, push, and pull up to 25lbs.
• The Team Member is sometimes required to work with other Team Members in moving the box cart with a maximum of 400lbs.
• The Team Member may be required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
• The work environment may vary in levels of crowds, noise, and smoke.
