Job summary

Rivers Casino Portsmouth in Portsmouth, Virginia is seeking a Currency Count Clerk to perform the duties of the count position, ensuring proper collection and efficient transfer of all currency from slot machines to the count room and then to the main bank. Day Shift: 5:00 AM-1:00 PM.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to operate a ten-key adding machine and basic math, and a Virginia gaming license as required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Removes full drop boxes from the slot machines and transports them to the count room.

• Keeps the Count Room management informed of all pertinent information regarding soft count activities and irregularities.
• Verbally communicates with other team members while completing the drop of the floor.
• Operates currency counting and sorting machines.
• All other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

• Gaming license/registration as required by the Virginia Lottery Board.

Physical Requirements:

• The job functions encompass a varied combination of physical functions, including, but not limited to the following:

• Ability to push/pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week, including holidays.
