Job summary

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in Indianapolis is seeking a Spiritual Counselor on a full-time basis. You will provide spiritual guidance and counseling to beneficiaries facing addiction, homelessness and life challenges, supporting recovery through counseling and rehabilitation planning.

Work 2nd shift, 8:00am-4:30pm with some evenings/weekends; pay rate is $19.00 per hour. Benefits include medical, life, disability coverage, vacation, holidays, retirement plans, and more.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth interviews with beneficiaries
• Provide individual and group spiritual counseling
• Design and manage rehabilitation plans
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness
• Lead journaling and group sessions
• Assess spiritual needs of beneficiaries
• Maintain detailed case notes in Service Point database
• Track rehabilitation progress and update plans
• Complete Self-Sufficiency Matrix assessments
• Coordinate with community agencies for additional services
• Develop and implement special projects as assigned
• Monitor work therapy progress
• Maintain secure online beneficiary files
• Complete weekly case notes and progress reports
• Update electronic records within deadlines
• Provide statistical information for monthly reports

Job Overview

Join our team in "Doing the Most Good" as a Spiritual Counselor at our Adult Rehabilitation Center. Working 2nd shift, you'll provide spiritual guidance and counseling to individuals facing various challenges including addiction, homelessness, and other life difficulties. This role is crucial in supporting our beneficiaries' recovery journey through spiritual guidance and rehabilitation planning.

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour

Status: Full Time, 40 Hours per Week

8:00am-4:30pm, slight flexibility with supervisor approval

Occasional evenings and/or weekends required
