Young Harris College and the Office of Student Development invite applications from qualified candidates for a part-time counselor position. The counselor is responsible for providing counseling, psychological services, and/or therapy to students.
The primary responsibilities include assessing students' needs, providing short-term counseling, and crisis intervention. The counselor will also direct clinical services for assessment and treatment, aligned with their clinical training and licensure.
Required qualifications include an earned master's or higher degree in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work from an accredited institution. Applicants must be licensed in Georgia as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or an Associate Professional Counselor (ALPC) eligible for licensure within one year of hire. Prior experience in a college or university counseling setting is preferred.
