Kids for the Future in Oceanside, CA is seeking a part-time Counselor I to provide crisis intervention, behavioral health services, and discharge planning coordination on-site. The role supports clients through assessments, individual/group interventions, and collaboration with regional providers to ensure access to services.
Requires a 4-year degree in a mental health field, up to 1 year of relevant experience, and CPR/First Aid certification.
Hours: 8 hours per week. Saturday overnight shift - Midnight to 8am. May join our Per Diem pool to pick up additional shifts if desired. This is an on-site position and requires in-person attendance to perform the essential functions of the job.
Pay Rate : $28.85 to $29.13 per hour plus $3.00 per hour differential for weekend or overnight shifts.

Our Crisis Centers are Short Term Acute Residential Treatment (START) programs (Del Sur Crisis Center, Esperanza Crisis Center , Halcyon Crisis Center, Jary Barreto Crisis Center, New Vistas Crisis Center, Turning Point Crisis Center and Vista Balboa Crisis) that provide intensive, community-based crisis residential services for adults throughout San Diego County. They deliver a unique alternative to psychiatric hospitalization to clients who are experiencing a psychiatric crisis of such magnitude so as not to be manageable on an outpatient basis. Their services are provided in a home-like environment that specializes in the psychosocial rehabilitation of each individual.

Education : Bachelor's degree in a mental health-related field such as Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling required
Additional Qualifications and Skills
Meets the bio-psychosocial needs of clients by providing indicated behavioral health services, case management services and/or crisis intervention, and documents services appropriately. Works with individuals to assist them in accessing appropriate support services and entitlements, medical care, community resources, and family support systems in an effort to facilitate recovery and rehabilitation.
