Job summary

BrightView Health is seeking an experienced Counselor to support individuals on their recovery journey within a dynamic treatment team. You will conduct group sessions, perform intake assessments, and provide crisis de-escalation while collaborating across a multidisciplinary health care setting.

Ideal candidates bring 1+ year in relevant field, prefer 2+ years, and hold an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments.
• Provide crisis and de-escalation techniques.
• Assist with treatment planning and monitor progress toward goals.
• Coordinate patient care with a multidisciplinary team and attend required meetings.
• Timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record and ensure compliance.

• CLINICAL CARE
  • Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments based on clinic needs and best-practice guidelines.
  • Provide crisis and de-escalation techniques.
• TREATMENT PLANNING AND PROGRESS MONITORING
  • Assist with treatment planning.
  • Review progress towards treatment plan goals.
• COORDINATION AND COMMUNICATION
  • Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team.
  • Attend required meetings, including on-site staff meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• DOCUMENTATION AND COMPLIANCE
  • Timely and comprehensively document all necessary treatment data into the electronic patient health record.
  • Follow adherence to all necessary regulatory and company compliance requirements.

• EXPERIENCE
• Required 1+ year of experience in a relevant field
• Preferred 2+ years of experience in a relevant field
• EDUCATION
• Preferred Associate’s degree or Bachelor's degree

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

• REQUIRED Active entry-level clinical certification or licensure consistent with state-level regulatory requirements.
