Job summary

WestCare Foundation in Fresno, CA is seeking a full-time counselor to provide individual and group counseling, case management, and education services to clients in the program. You will conduct intake, create and review treatment plans, and coordinate with community resources.

Strong communication, discretion, and teamwork are essential. The position requires a two-year degree and relevant certifications; a valid California driver's license and clearances with CDCR/LEIE may be required.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in Addiction Counseling, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or related field preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of direct counseling experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and confidentiality required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group counseling services and case management.
• Oversee intake and orientation for clients and families and develop treatment plans.
• Facilitate family support groups and coordinate community referrals.
• Maintain client files and document vocational/educational activity.
• Interact with the criminal justice system as needed.
• Adhere to confidentiality and ethical standards.
