Job summary

Stairways Behavioral Health in Erie, PA seeks a Counselor for Drug & Alcohol Outpatient. The role conducts bio-psycho-social assessments and leads individual and group counseling to help clients meet recovery goals.

A PA license or equivalent credentials are required, with at least 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in addiction treatment, plus a valid driver’s license. This full-time, non-exempt position offers an hourly wage between $17.10 and $19.76, with a 37.5 hour work week and

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for conducting bio-psycho-social assessments to determine appropriate placement levels for outpatient dual diagnosis care. The incumbent also facilitates individual and group counseling sessions to provide clients with opportunities to explore recovery issues and work toward mutually determined recovery goals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors level degree in related field or equivalent education and experience as determined by agency standards and guidelines of position.
• Must have valid Pennsylvania licensure or Pennsylvania Certification Board credentials, including LPC, LCSW, LSW, CAAC, CADC, CAADC, or CSS or be able to acquire licensure or credentials within two (2) years of hire.
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience. Preferably in a D&A setting.
• Valid driver's license with access to a vehicle during scheduled work hours.
