Stubblefield Institute is seeking a Counselor in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, to provide essential mental health services to the student population. The role involves direct counseling, participation in campus outreach programs, and collaboration across departments to support at-risk students.
The ideal candidate should possess a Master’s degree in counseling or social work, along with significant experience in individual and group counseling. This position offers substantial benefits including generous annual leave and health insurance.
This individual’s primary responsibility will be to provide direct services to the student population in various areas of mental health support including individual and group counseling, educational workshops, prevention, outreach, and training.
The counselor will participate on the Behavioral Intervention Team to address the needs of students at risk.
The counselor will collaborate with campus partners on prevention program development and campus outreach, and participate in other projects presented by Counseling Services or the Division of Student Affairs.
The counselor may serve as a representative on campus coalitions, including the Crisis Response Team, and/or represent Counseling Services on various committees serving the student‑body.
Other duties as assigned.
