Augusta University in Augusta, GA is seeking a Counselor to perform therapy services for research participants during clinical trials in Psychiatry and Health Behavior. The Medical College of Georgia (MCG) is one of the nation\'s largest medical schools by class size, with 304 students per class. The MCG educational experience is anchored by the main campus in Augusta, with regional clinical campuses for third- and fourth-year students across the state, and two four-year campuses located in Athens (in partnership with the University of Georgia) and in Savannah (in partnership with Georgia Southern University). MCG\'s expanding partnerships with physicians and hospitals across Georgia currently provide more than 350 sites where students can experience the full spectrum of medicine, from complex care hospitals to small-town solo practices. Educational Requirements
Master\'s degree from an accredited college or university in mental health counseling, psychology, social work, marital and family therapy, or another similar mental health field. Employee must be license eligible to become fully licensed to provide mental health services and treatment independently, in the state of Georgia.
Preferred Qualifications
PTSD (MDMA-assisted therapy); Depression (psilocybin); Anxiety (especially end-of-life); Substance use disorders (alcohol, nicotine); Treatment-resistant depression; Altered states competency; Crisis-management; Ethical and boundary awareness; Regulatory and legal reality.
Shift: Days/M-F (work outside of the normal business hours will likely be required of an employee in an exempt level position)

Motor vehicle reports may be required for positions that involve driving an Augusta University vehicle.
