Job summary

Airbnb is seeking an experienced corporate attorney to join our Corporate Legal team in the United States. The role focuses on M&A, joint ventures and other strategic transactions, reporting to Lead Counsel, Corporate.

You will partner with Corporate Development and other teams to execute transactions, structure deals, perform due diligence, and negotiate definitive agreements. This remote-eligible role requires a US-state license and strong cross-functional collaboration.

• Track record of independently running deal workstreams.
• Strong organizational and process management skills.

The Difference You Will Make

Airbnb is looking for an experienced attorney to join our Corporate Legal team. Reporting to Airbnb's Lead Counsel, Corporate, you will partner closely with Airbnb's Corporate Development team and other legal and cross-functional teams on M&A as well as other corporate and investment transactions. From time to time, you may also provide legal support for other teams (e.g., Sustainability, Treasury) as part of the Corporate Legal team's general practice.

A Typical Day

• Lead and support mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, investments, warrants and other corporate transactions through all stages of a transaction lifecycle, including assessment of potential targets, deal structuring, due diligence, negotiation and deal execution
• Provide strategic legal advice to senior management and other internal stakeholders regarding M&A strategy, risk management and execution
• Draft, review and negotiate transaction documents, including letters of intent, definitive agreements and ancillary documents
• Work collaboratively with multiple cross-functional teams across the company
• Manage outside counsel, including the coordination of efforts to ensure effective legal support during the transaction process
• Contribute to the development of internal legal processes and best practices for M&A transactions
• Assist and collaborate on other Corporate Legal matters

Your Expertise

• JD and 5+ years of relevant experience working at a law firm or in-house, focused on M&A and corporate transactions
• Track record of independently running deal workstreams
• Willingness to roll up sleeves (no job too big, no job too small)
• Strong organizational and process management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Sound business judgment, attention to detail and the ability to find practical and creative solutions to both legal and business problems
• High level of integrity, professionalism, intellectual curiosity and willingness to grow

• Licensed in a US state

Pay Range

$196,000 - $230,000 USD
