Job summary

Baptist Children's Homes of NC is seeking PRN Cottage Parents across North Carolina. This hourly, non‑exempt role supports children in cottage homes, with a requirement to live on the premises and provide daily care, Christian guidance and structured activities.

We offer flexible coverage with two weeks on/off in a caring, trauma‑informed environment. Candidates must be at least 25, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and have or be willing to learn basic childcare skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 25 years of age.
• High School diploma, or equivalent.
• Experience as a residential Cottage Parent and/or ability to learn basic childcare skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to transport children.
• Ability to manage and adhere to agency policies and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned children individually and in groups.
• Provide daily care and Christian role modeling including devotions.
• Plan meals and maintain nutritional requirements.
• Maintain a safe home environment and respond to safety needs.
• Support education, homework help and school activities.
• Participate in team planning and adhere to program models (TCI/Care).
• Drive and transport children to events as needed.
