Job summary

Southern TN Regional Health System - Lawrenceburg, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for PRN coverage. You will provide OT treatments under OTR/L supervision, supporting functional restoration and patient safety while following hospital policies.

Your role includes implementing treatment plans, monitoring progress, educating patients, and coordinating with the rehab team to ensure high-quality care for adults and seniors.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure/certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements and adjusts patient treatment plans under the supervision of an OTR/L.
• Monitors patient conditions, progress and therapy goals; recommends changes as needed.
• Provides treatment to adult and geriatric patients and documents care per policy and state regulations.
• Identifies equipment needs and assists with discharge planning.
• Collaborates with rehabilitation team and support staff.
• Leads group therapy sessions as appropriate (stroke, SCI, BI).
• Educates patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and equipment needs.
• Assesses and addresses pain affecting rehabilitation, consulting the supervising OTR/L and physician as needed.
