Job summary

Sterling Therapy Providers is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to support residents under the supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist. The role focuses on implementing treatment plans, enabling independence, and participating in a rehabilitation team.

The ideal candidate will have graduated from an accredited OT Aide program, be licensed or eligible for licensure, and possess strong organizational and communication skills. Excellent patient care is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required by the state.

Responsibilities

• Implements resident’s individualized treatment plan under the supervision of the Registered Occupational Therapist.
• Provides OT treatments including activities of daily living and ROM exercises.
• Performs activities of daily living evaluations under the direction of the OT.
• Organizes and facilitates treatment groups with the OT.
• Instructs residents and families in OT skills under supervision.
• Collaborates with rehabilitation team to develop programs for residents.
• Maintains documentation for residents treated in a timely manner.
• Attends care and staffing meetings as a representative of OT.
• Cleans and reports equipment maintenance or repair needs.
• Ensures residents and families receive high-quality, compassionate service.
