Job summary

Kennedy Care Center in Los Angeles seeks a COTA to support the Occupational Therapy team under the supervision of the OT. You will document daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes, assist with discharge planning, and help train staff and families in home programs.

Ideal candidates are licensed in the state, proficient with Casamba and Point Click Care, and capable of following physician treatment plans while maintaining accurate records and collaborating with the health team.

Qualifications

• Licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state.
• Proficient in Casamba and Point Click Care data entry.
• Ability to read and follow OT treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist and record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes.
• Assist with discharge planning and caregiver training in preparation for discharge from therapy services.
• Communicate with supervisor and health team members regarding patient progress and plans.
• Record evaluations and documentation per state practice act and payer requirements.
• Maintain clean and safe treatment area and report equipment issues.
