Job summary

Powerback Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to travel nationwide on 13-week assignments, delivering occupational therapy services across diverse settings under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. The role emphasizes patient‑centered care, documentation, and collaboration with the rehabilitation team.

The position requires OTA program graduation, NBCOT certification, and licensure or eligibility to practice in the travel locations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program.
• Initial certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
• They must be licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.
• They must be available to travel to and temporarily reside in locations outside of the therapists primary home.

Responsibilities

• The Occupational Therapy Assistant implements occupational therapy programs and provides treatments to facilitate increased independence under supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Attends patient care conferences and contributes as a representative of occupational therapy.
• Develops programs with the rehabilitation team to match patient needs and capabilities.
• Instructs patients, families and caregivers in therapy techniques under supervision.
• Maintains timely documentation for all patients treated.
• Maintains and reports on equipment condition and needs for repair.
