St. James Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide compassionate, patient-centered care under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

You will implement treatment plans, document progress, and collaborate with all disciplines to ensure clinical excellence. The role emphasizes timely documentation, adherence to schedules, and professional conduct in a long-term care setting with a focus on geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.

Responsabilités

• Carry out best practice treatments under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
• Provide treatment by adhering to specific goals developed by the OT.
• Provide feedback to supervision OT via documentation or other policy-specified methods.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation
