Job summary

The Riverside Premier Rehabilitation and Healing Center in Ridgewood, NY seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to deliver best-practice treatments under OT supervision and to document progress in a timely manner. The role emphasizes patient-centered care and collaboration across disciplines.

Ideal candidates will have an active NY license, experience in geriatric/long-term care, and strong documentation skills to ensure weekly progress notes meet policy standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of the OT.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence.
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
• Provide feedback to the supervising occupational therapist via documentation as required by facility policy.
