Job summary

Wurtland Nursing & Rehab in Kentucky is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support high-quality rehabilitative care under the supervision of an licensed Occupational Therapist. You will carry out individualized treatment plans focused on ADLs, mobility, and resident independence.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• 1–2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric care setting preferred.
• Familiarity with PDPM and SNF documentation standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver OT interventions as outlined in the supervising therapist's plan.
• Assist residents with exercises and activities to improve ADLs and mobility.
• Monitor responses and report progress or concerns to the supervising OT.
• Support the use of adaptive equipment and provide instruction to residents and caregivers.
• Document sessions and resident progress in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Maintain a safe, compliant, and engaging therapy environment.
